it’s not abstraction it’s literally just lying was constructed by recording thoughts and observations and organizing them by theme and content. the organization constructs a representation of an internal monologue that emphasizes the invasive and obsessive nature of thought, emulating a constant and disjointed search for meaning.

this book is about skepticism, family, economics, religion, art, liminality, empiricism, culture, comfort, sexuality, abstraction, money, coercion, failure, and some other things. it’s also about me. i wrote most of it while i was unemployed and quarantined in new york city as i waited to go to germany for school. it’s a manifestation of the tensions between precarity, isolation, and freedom.
